Printing from printer leaves lines where the top half of the entire sentence is missing. This happens throughout the page in several places. I though it was a computer issue. I disconnected it and just printed through all the tests and alignments and cleaning. Even printing the diognostic page from settings in printer it prints the same, not connected to a computer. again, ran all the tests and cleanings and changed ink. so no need to ask me to do them again. this is obviousely a problem in the printer. Have you seen this problem before? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Hi Robespierre36,
Near the bottom of the document I linked you to is a warranty checker by serial number. This will let you see if you are in or out of warranty.
If you click on Printers at the top of this page you will be linked to HP shopping and you can see some of the newer printers you may be able to buy as a replacement if your printer is out of warranty.
I'm sorry the troubleshooting did not recover the printing for you.

Hi Robespierre36,
I'm sorry to hear your printer is not printing the top half of your sentences.
You have done the correct troubleshooting by printing the cleaning tests. If the diagnostic test shows the same failures - you know it is related to the printer cartridge itself.
You have also already replaced the cartridge? Have you cleaned the electrical contacts between the printer and the cartridge?
Here is a document that shows the area to clean. There may be something in the carriage (Cartridge holder) or on the cartridge contacts themselves that is causing a poor connection and then those nozzles are not firing.
If cleaning the contacts does not help and replacing w/ a new cartridges does not help - the printer may need to be replaced.
