HP Envy 4500
Chrome OS

I have an HP Envy 4500 printer that has worked perfectly with my Google Chromebook. Suddenly a few days ago it stopped. When I try to select it as the printer, I get an "error setting up printer" message every time.I have no explanation for it.  I've attached a screenshot. Hopefully someone can help, otherwise I'll be getting a new printer and it doesn't seem like I should have to. Thanks everyone.

Welcome to HP Support Community

I suggest you reset the printer's network settings back to default

1. Press the Wireless button to access the Wireless Status menu. 2. Press the button next to Settings to access the Wireless Settings menu. 3. Select Restore Defaults. 4. Confirm selection to restore defaults.

Then run the wireless setup wizard once again to connect the printer back to your network

1. Press the Wireless button from the printer control panel, and then select Settings. 2. Scroll to select Wireless Setup Wizard, and then press OK. 3. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the wireless connection.

Next follow the instructions in this Link: https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/7225252?hl=en to Setup the printer again

Keep me posted how it goes 😊
