Hi,
I've been trying to print an A4 borderless page and my printer keeps cutting off a bit from all 4 edges. I can't seem to find a away to stop the cut off in any of the settings and I can't find a seperate driver to help. Can anyone help?
I've tried realigning and everything but I don't think thats the problem as it seems to be cutting off the same amount on all 4 edges.
Bella

The margins are mandatory on this printer.
Specifications > Paper Handling > Print Margins
Print Margins
Media | Left (LM) | Right (RM) | Top (TM) | Bottom (BM) |
Letter Legal A4 Statement 215.9 x 330.2 (8.5 x 13 in) Custom-sized media Photo media Executive B5 A5 Cards | 3.0 mm (0.118 inch) | 3.0 mm (0.118 inch) | 3.0 mm (0.118 inch) | Windows: 3.0 mm (0.118 inch) Macintosh and Linux: 12.7 mm (0.50 inch) |
*To achieve these margin settings on a computer running Windows, click the Advanced tab in the print driver, and then select Minimize Margins.

The printer will not print borderless if it is not designed to do so. So, yes - margins can impact the printed content.
An incorrect Aspect Ratio is not the fault of the printer - a photo that does not fit on the paper you are using is simply a consequence of the shape of one thing not matching the other.
For example: If the shape of the image / photo does not exactly fit the shape of the paper, the image will be printed with borders - or, if shape of the image overlaps one or more sides, the "too large" edge(s) will be removed.
Discussion
Unintended borders are not the same thing as required margins. Unintended borders around your print can be the result of the photo not fitting the paper and / or the irregular border might be a result of setting an incorrect orientation.
You have the choice to edit the image to fit the paper, or you can fit the image to the paper with software that can help you print the photo as best it can be printed given the shape of paper.
Example - Orientation and Centering ( Paint (mspaint) software)

NOTES:
- Borderless printing may - or may not - be an available option on your printer.
- If the shape of the photo does not exactly match the shape of the paper, remember to center the photo to reduce odd shaped margins at one or both sides of the print.
Quick Prints > 4 x 6 inch > Print my own > Add Photos > Browse >
Click / Select Photo from the folder > Open >
In Section Edit > Click once or twice on the opened photo >
White box opens listing Edit Options:
Select / Edit the image if / as desired
Print > Adjust Settings and Advanced Settings >
(Under the name of your printer)
Click to add "Centering" for the photo to be printed
Open Printer Settings >
Verify / Adjust setup
- Printing Shortcut > Photo Printing (with or without borders depending on your printer model)
- tab Paper / Quality> Media Type > HP Advanced Photo Paper (or other)
- Advanced> Size of Paper > 4x6 inch
- Click / Select Borderless Printing ON
- Click OK to close Printer Settings
Click Print

I will have a look at the software but I have intentionally made the artwork to the dimensions of an a4 piece of paper so the aspect ratio shouldn't be a problem. The artwork is 210mm x 297mm so should fit perfectly. Its not too big and yet the printer is still cutting edges off.
It does have an option to print borderless but it's not working as like I said it's cutting the edges off and if it don't do borderless it has white margins round the side.
Ps I should also mention that I have tried printing it on different software ( publisher and paint) and they both have the same problem

I understand -- and I don't have an answer to satisfy your concerns.
If you would like to do so, start a new thread - ask the question again and provide the information you believe is helpful, including what you have tried. I will not answer the new inquiry. Perhaps someone with a better understanding or your particular printer and software can help you resolve the issue.
