My wife and I both have Envy Deskjet Printers, I have the 4527 and she has the 4520 model.
The other day she had finished printing and before she got the chance to push the Output tray Extender to the left and in, she inadvertently knocked it to the right by approximately 15 degrees from centre.
It appears to be stuck and I do not want to force it to the left and break it.
Possibly it has gone off the end of the gear mechanism per se.
Any advice please.
Thanks

Greetings @Wessylad,
Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.
I understand that you moved the output tray extended to the right instead of left and it is now stuck, is that right?
Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.
Recommend you try moving it back to the left slowly or contact our phone support to check on the service options available for your printer.
As there is no service manual for your printer available that could help you open the printer and release the extender.
Let me know if this helped.

Thanks Chimney, I gingerly moved it to the left and felt some resistance but I 'manned up', increased the force and it freed up and stayed retracted when I pushed it in. As long as it comes out after the next print it will be sorted. Many thanks for your help
