Hello all,
I have had this printer for several years and never had any issues with it- until now!
I try to print (wirelessly AND via the USB connection) and it states 'Printer Failure 0x61000072'. I have reset the printer. I have reset the wireless network. I have unplugged it; shut it down; let it stand for days unplugged. I have taken out the ink cartridges and reinserted them. I'm lost and its SUPER frustrating. I am connected on a Wireless Network at a school; using a MAC laptop.
PLEASE HELP!
Thank you, thank you!!!

Hi @KateDee,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
May I know when are you facing this issue?
Are you getting the error on the Printer or on your computer?
Let's start with a Printer Reset
(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.
(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed
Also, download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor from this Link: Click here
Run PSDR v5.0.2
Once the PSDR detects the Printer, it will show up the IP address and Software Status.
Select the correct Printer and click on Next.
PSDR will check if the Printer is on the Network and communication between the PC and the Printer. Once the connection check is done, click on Fix Printing
Once PSDR goes through all checks and automatic fixes, click on Print a test page.
Regardless if PSDR printed the test page or not, click on “NO PRINT”
PSDR will then notify you that there is an update available, click on continue, and PSDR will apply the patch and ask for a reboot.
Post restart the PSDR will run automatically to check for more issues. If no issue is found close PSDR.
Keep me posted on how it goes
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend
