I am trying to print from my HP Envy 4520 and it says filter failed every time. I have tried restarting printer, reconnecting printers to network, and can't solve it. Help!!

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that you are getting filter failed errors, I am glad to assist you.

Uninstall a printer on my Chromebook

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.
  2. From the Admin console Home page, go to Devices.
  3. Click Printers.
  4. Select the organizational unit or group where the printer was added.
  5. Check the box next to the printer you want to remove.
  6. Click Delete selected printers.

Setup the printer again using the HP Smart app on Chromebook

Update the printer firmware to install the latest updates
