Our HP Envy 4520 does not print anything. It started all of a sudden. The jobs stay in the queue. The printer status says in Idle. Its like it does not get the a signal from the laptop that there is a print job. It seems like I can't get a new driver for the printer from the HP website. It does not work with wifi or with direct wire.

Hi @slesage,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP Envy 4520 printer. Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve the problem:
Restart the Printer and Computer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Restart your computer.
- Plug in the printer and turn it back on.
Check Print Queue:
- Open the print queue on your computer.
- Cancel all pending print jobs.
- Restart the print spooler service on your computer.
Update or Reinstall Printer Driver:
- Go to the Device Manager on your computer.
- Locate your HP Envy 4520 printer under "Print queues."
- Right-click on it and choose "Update driver" or "Uninstall device."
- If you uninstall, restart your computer, and the driver should reinstall automatically.
Check for Software Conflicts:
- Ensure that there are no conflicting software or applications that might be causing the printing issue.
Printer Troubleshooter:
- Use the built-in printer troubleshooter on your computer to identify and fix potential issues.
Check Connectivity:
- Ensure that the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
- If using a wired connection, make sure the cables are securely connected.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Visit the HP website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model.
Printer Reset:
- Perform a factory reset on your printer. Consult your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this.
