Product: HP Envy 5020
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have recently changed the HP genuine 304XL black ink cartridge in my HP Envy 5020 printer. When prompted to print the alignment page it didn't print any black ink. I've tried cleaning the cartridge etc and checked it for damage but it looks fine. I tried putting the old cartridge back in and still no luck.

 

Any suggestions?

If you have already performed the steps from the document HP DeskJet, ENVY 5000 Printers - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
