I have a new HP Envy 5055 which runs out of ink after making only a few copies. It is impossible to speak to customer representatives because they require a code and it is not possible to obtain a code because the company simply refers you to online answers. There is no attempt by the company to answer the questions in the support. For all the bells and whistles, This product is distinctly inferior to the HP printer that I owned 20 years ago. This is unacceptable. There is no redress. Professor Andrew J. O'Shaughnessy.

Does HP ever bother reading these messages? Why do they leave it to customers to advise one another? This is typical of the dismal service. I intend to go on Amazon to advise potential customers to avoid their products. I feel that I have been scammed. I have spent more on printer ink than the actual printer and yet have printed less than a hundred pages. This serves their purposes but they should remember that a good company is not just making a sale but making a customer.

[edit]. I am going to report it to the Better Business Bureau. There is no excuse for the failure of the company to read these messages or to make it so difficult to speak to a member of their customer service.

I have provided you with the information you need? When are you going to address my problem? If you do not have a solution, I suggest you ship me a new printer and some replacement printer cartridges. I am happy for you to take away the lemon that you sold me.

Asmita. Where are you? It is now over two weeks that I wrote my initial message. I understand that you wanted my details but why not actually write a reply that could be used by others. There are stray messages across this site of people with the same problem. I have searched and searched for advice but none of it is applicable. I would never buy one of your product again given the difficulty of contacting customer service and given the highly unsatisfactory quality of the product.

Are you a robot or a real person? I love the company description of the Support Community: "Did you know our community is mostly run by customers like you? " In other words, you do not bother to do your job but prefer to delegate it to amateurs. The problem with tech companies like yourselves is that you think that introducing more bells and whistles will give you the edge in the market. It is more important to create satisfied customers. I was happier with my HP printer of at least twenty years or more which I now regret not keeping. It worked better and was more sturdily made the HP Envy 5005.

I have written to the CEO. I have sent a printed letter to the HP Customer Service Department in Palo Alto. I have posted numerous comments on here but still no reply. My current ink cartridge is now low after printing about fifty pages. I had another that printed only fifteen pages. It is outrageous that the company is unaccountable. I received a message in my inbox over a week ago which was clearly computer generated. I have not had a response to subsequent attempts to contact them. I shall never buy from this company again and I shall report them to the Better Business Bureau.
