macOS 11.0 Big Sur

When I turn on the printer, it is stuck on the HP logo and the black buffering bar. It isn't getting past it. The screen scans across & I have 2 dots out of the 7 show up black and that's it. Then everything freezes. I've tried turning off at the wall, unplugging, doing all the troubleshooting, but nothing works ... any help out there please? My warranty expired last month.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:  

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer's rear and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till the warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
