I am having two issues with my HP Envy 5055 one is that it does not print anything it sounds like its printing but I get white paper.  Second is that a very expensive HP 65XL was installed about 4 months ago with minimal printing being done.  I get an cartridge problem error "Remove and reinstall the indicated cartridge...", I have tried the alcohol rub to clean the heads on both cartridges as they dry up extremely fast if you dont use them often.  This had no positive effect.  Normally I would just throw out the printer and never buy the same manufacture again.  But I have alot of money invested in two 65XL cartridges and I want to try to fix the problem.  Any thoughts.

@tileman2, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

I understand the printer is printing blank pages and the ink cartridges have errors. To assist you better, which ink cartridge is shown to be defective?

Insert one ink cartridge at a time to identify the defective one. We will have to resolve the issue with the ink cartridge which will also resolve the printing blank issue.

 

Have you tried using an alternate ink cartridge?

 

Make sure the ink cartridges are properly inserted in the printer, you may refer to - Replace HP inkjet printer cartridges

Make sure you are using HP ink cartridges.

 

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - Ink cartridge error

 

If the error persists, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the replacement options for the defective ink. 

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
