HP Envy 5540
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

One solution to an earlier request required the IP address of the printer.  I searched the Web for directions for determining that address, but none of the offered suggestions worked.  Most of them required finding the printer properties and then going to the General or Ports tab to look at the location information.  In the General tab the location information is blank, and in the Ports tab selecting Configure Ports generates a message saying that this operation is not supported.  Is there a way to determine the IP address of the HP Envy 5540 wired to a USB port, or does it not have an IP address?

IP's are only used by networked printers (WiFi or RJ45 cable).
