Hi, Ive encountered an issue with my printer.
For some reason it is not printing out in colour. All has been working well for the year i have had it.
I have tried cleaning the ink cartridges, which print out in colour.
Also, i have tried deleting all the software and reinstalling, but still nothing.
I am not getting an option to "uncheck" the greyscale box?
Any help would be appreciated
Michael

Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.
I understand that you are unable to print in color and you have already tried cleaning the cartridges.
I'll try my best to help
I appreciate all your efforts and expertise in troubleshooting this issue
Do you have an adequate amount of ink left in all the cartridges?
Are you able to make color photocopies?
I suggest you uninstall the Printer driver from Root level and download the Full Feature Software
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the Full Feature Software from Here and follow the onscreen Instructions
Keep me posted how it goes
Thank you 🙂

It seems to be printing in colour OK from Word and if i use the copier it prints in colour, but when im prnting a picture via excel, it comes out black and white?
There is no option, within the print prefs, to alter into colour or greyscale?
Regards,
Michael

Thanks for keeping me posted.
Have you tried uninsrtalling the Pritner driver from Root level and download the Full Feature Software as instructed earlier?
If the the Full Feature driver didn't work, uninstall the drivers from Root level again and install the Windows Built-In driver
Please follow the instructions in this Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01796879
Let me know how it goes
Thanks 🙂
