My printer is not printing correctly, with either the black nor color cartridges. I have gone through the clean cartridges prompt three times, and aligned them. The printing is choppy. It's just lines, horizontal sections, and it appears to only be using black ink, even for color jobs. Both my cartridges are HP brand, as recommended. 

 

I do not get an error message, the printer starts to "print", it sounds like it is actually printing, but the result is usually a blank page or one with just a few random lines.

Please help!!!

Does your print quality report look like the one without defects found in step #9 of this link?

No. It looks like this, even though both cartridges are brand new/full:

Yes, they are new. The old cartridges were not printing correctly either, so I thought maybe there was something wrong with them. So I bought and installed new ones, but the problem remains.

Is the printer warranty still valid?

Most likely there is a hardware problem with the printer.
