It works but then after a day or two, it will no longer print, says it's sending the job/printing but it never does. I have to unplug it and plug it back in (which is a pain obviously), any idea how to fix this? Never had these issues with my other Envy printer.
Thanks in advance.

Hi @bknyrockstar,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing issues with your HP Envy 6000 printer where it stops printing after a day or two and requires unplugging and plugging it back in to restart, there could be several potential reasons for this behavior. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.
- Update Firmware and Drivers: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware and drivers installed. Visit the HP support website, enter your printer model, and download and install the latest firmware and drivers if available.
- Network Connectivity: Check the network connection of your printer. Make sure it is connected to the Wi-Fi network properly and that there are no issues with the network itself. If possible, try connecting the printer using a wired connection to see if the issue persists.
- Restart Router: Sometimes connectivity issues can be resolved by restarting your router. Power off your router, wait for about 30 seconds, and then power it back on. After the router has fully restarted, check if the printer is functioning correctly.
- Check Sleep Settings: Ensure that the printer's sleep settings are configured appropriately. If the printer is set to go into sleep mode too quickly, it might cause communication issues. Adjust the sleep settings in the printer menu.
- Check for Firmware Updates: Check for and install any available firmware updates for your printer. Firmware updates can address various issues, including connectivity and printing problems.
- Reset Printing System (Mac): If you are using a Mac, you can try resetting the printing system. Go to "System Preferences" > "Printers & Scanners," right-click on the printer, and select "Reset printing system." Note that this will remove all printers from your system, so you'll need to re-add your printer afterward.
- Check Print Queue: Check the print queue on your computer to ensure there are no stuck print jobs. Cancel any pending print jobs and try printing again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
