A friend of mine is using an HP Envy 6055 printer which is just a little over 1 month old. It kept going offline, so I bought a USB cable and connected it directly to her laptop. This morning she is working and the printer went offline again. I used the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store to double check all the settings, print a test page, we also printer from her email. Why does this continue to happen? She had to reboot her computer and she sent me a text that is back online. Thanks for your feedback and suggestions. Much appreciated.

Edits - Correction
According to the customer, EWS for the Envy 6055 printer does not provide the ability to change / edit the network parameters. Changed the wording - leaving the examples for now...
Original Content
Ideas...
- The printer is dual band - make sure it is connected to the correct named SSID network for that bandwidth.
- If you are not using Wi-Fi Direct, switch it OFF
Your printer might benefit from having a static IP address assigned
Examples
When the printer is on the network,
If the option is available,
Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to view / configure your printer
Examples
Set / Verify the Bandwidth
Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Tab Network > Wireless (802.11) > Wireless Band Frequency
Set / Verify IP address
Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Tab Network > Wireless (802.11) > IPv4 Configuration
And
Tab Network > Wireless (802.11) > Advanced
Example - EWS > Bandwidth
If your printer EWS does not support the particular EWS option shown, simply ignore.

This printer simply requires the HP Smart app to be installed on your cell phone to set the printer up. Attached are the available software and drivers needed. Why are you recommending an Embedded Web Server for the HP Officejet Pro?
I see there is a recent firmware update which was not available when I hooked up the printer so I'm going to uninstall the printer in Windows 10, remove the HP Smart app off my friends

Excellent. Looks like you have it in hand now.
I've edited my previous post to remind that the EWS options shown in the example may not be available.
EWS is worth exploring if you can get the printer onto the network.
The videos should help - they are presented by HP @greenturtle
I shall withdraw, having nothing more to offer to the conversation.
Stay Safe.
