The printer stopped printing in the middle of a page so I replaced both cartridges. The only thing it will print is two icons on the left side of the page, one is an envelope with a tear drop? and the other is possibly an internet symbol with a red circle with a dash inside. HP scan print doctor said everything is fine and printed a colorful page, however the black was not very bright. The printer would not print a page from my computer. Not happy at all with this Envy. I am not signed up for the cartridge purchase. I do not have the printer on a wireless connection. I purchase the HP cartridges from an office supply store.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I understand the printer is not working correctly after replacing ink cartridges.
- Are you using HP genuine ink cartridges?
- Have you tried cleaning the copper contacts on the ink cartridges? Click here to know how to clean the ink cartridges.
Try the below suggestions as well -
Reset the product
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
- Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
Also, try updating the printer's firmware -HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
