Hi @Jane230,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The E0 error code on an HP Envy 6455e printer usually indicates a paper jam or a carriage jam. Here's what you can do to resolve it.
- Check for paper jams: Open the printer's input tray and look for any jammed paper. Gently remove any paper you find. Make sure to check the output tray, input tray, and the area inside the printer.
- Clear carriage jams: If there's no paper jam but you still see the error, there might be an issue with the carriage that holds the ink cartridges. Open the printer cover and check if the carriage can move freely. If it's stuck, gently move it to clear any obstructions.
- Reset the printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes clear temporary errors.
- Inspect for foreign objects: Sometimes, small objects like paper clips or bits of paper can fall into the printer and cause jams. Use a flashlight to thoroughly inspect the printer's interior for any foreign objects and remove them.
- Check ink cartridges: Sometimes, issues with ink cartridges can cause error codes. Ensure that all ink cartridges are properly installed and securely in place.
- Update printer firmware: Ensure your printer's firmware is up-to-date. You can usually update the firmware through the printer's settings menu or by visiting the HP support website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
