i got a new HP laptop model# 17 by0021dx which has had all the updates installed through microsoft updates, and was attempting to hook up my Envy 7645 printer. The printer reports that it is connected and all the wireless test results show that it is passing, but the unit refuses to print. It's getting a good signal and itb reports being installed on the devices page, but a no print condition remains in effect. Anybody got any ideas?

Welcome to the HP Support Community
I suggest you run HP Print and Scan Doctor – for Fix printing and scanning problems
Click on this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/topic/printscandoctor-printing-problems to download and install the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
If the issue persists, I recommend you delete the driver at the root level and Install the drivers, follow the steps below:
Remove the USB if connected
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose `Delete' or `Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s")
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
Then, Click on this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-envy-7640-e-all-in-one-printer-series/... to download and install the HP ENVY 7640 e-All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Drivers.
Keep me posted, how it goes!

HP Website – Community for Error Message:
"Your printer has experienced an unexpected configuration problem. 0x80004005"
Went here for "Accepted Solution":
Response after trying to delete driver and driver package (Item 9):
Failed to remove driver HP ENVY 7640 series. The specified printer driver is currently in use.
Failed to remove package hpygid17.inf.
Had to RESTART to get rid of this message. Was then able to delete the HP driver info.
Then proceeded to download and reinstall per instructions:
Then, Click on this link:
to download and install the HP ENVY 7640 e-All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Drivers.
… and got a brand NEW error message when printing:
"Your printer has experienced an unexpected configuration problem. 0x80070005"
FYI, Scan Doctor FREEZES after running it and selecting a Test Print, when you click on the "No Print" button.
You have to use Task Manager to delete it.
