I was connected to a wireless system which has been replaced. The printer recognizes the new system but will not connect. All of my other devices have connected with no trouble. I have tried all of the trouble shooting options I can find including working through the HP Smart app, which also sees the network but can't connect.

Thank you for the suggestions. It is not a dual band router. As it turns out, the provider (Midco) had to access the router remotely and change "something" which then allowed the printer to connect.

@Matt_62, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
  • Either a 2.4GHz network or a 5GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.
  • Restart the wireless router, the printer, and the PC
  • Try installing the printer using the HP Smart app.

If the printer is not connected to the network,

Go to Setup > Network > Restore network settings

Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard > Select your network and enter the password

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
