My y printer is freezing up on the control panel after the first dot. I have unplugged, vremoced the cartridges and put them back..... everything so many times and still it stops at the first dot on the control panel and doesn't go any further. What can I do ? I don't want to but a printer. My printer app on my phone or my computer is not picking it up to allow me to troubleshoot it.

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that the printer control panel is frozen, follow these steps to fix the issue.
Perform a power reset
- Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 30 seconds.
- Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
- Turn on the printer.
Update the printer firmware
Here are the steps:- Click here
Let me know how it goes.

My printers power is clearly on, but after cycling on, only the HP logo w/a solid blue line and all but 1 blue of 8 dots (7 clear) below. No wifi light. No Home, Back, or Help lights. No mechanical sounds of carriage moving or blips and beeps.
My MAC bluetooth is unable to discover it. My wifi is working. I unplugged/reset/restarted my router, printer, and laptop respectively.
I don't own a usb w/square end or usb/usb to use, or ethernet port on my MAC.
After realizing the printer problem, I checked for OS updates. Big Sur needs more storage than I have, so I began deleting .dmg and .zip files. Tho the problem existed beforehand, might I've trashed a printer driver inadvertently? Don't know.
What are my options? I heard apple was hit with something monday 9.13.21... any connection?
Pls help. Desperate to print.
