How do we end the flashing purple light and get printer properly turned on?

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that the purple light is flashing, I am glad to assist you.

  • This occurs when the printer experiences an error while connecting with Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS).
  • Light bar glows purple at outside edges and flashes amber at the center
  • Press and hold the Wireless button on the back of the printer for five seconds to reset the wireless connection, and then set it up with WPS again.
  • Pressing the Wireless button on the back of the printer
  • For more information, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).
