Hi @icando,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the "power-on" issue on your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Power Connection

Verify Power Cord Connection:

  • Ensure the power cord is securely connected to the back of the printer and to a functioning power outlet.
  • Try plugging the printer into a different power outlet to rule out issues with the outlet.

Inspect the Power Cord and Adapter:

  • Check for any visible damage to the power cord or adapter. If damaged, replace with an appropriate HP power cord and adapter.

Reset the Printer

  1. Perform a Hard Reset:
    • Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
    • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
    • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then into the printer.
    • Press the power button to turn on the printer.

Resolve Power Button Issues

  1. Check Power Button Functionality:
    • Press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds to see if it responds.

Verify Electrical Power

  1. Evaluate Power Supply:
    • If the printer is connected to a surge protector or power extension, try connecting it directly to the wall outlet to see if this resolves the issue.

Internal Hardware Issue

  1. Check for Internal Issues:
    • If none of the above steps work, there might be an internal hardware issue preventing power from reaching the printer's components.

I hope this helps.
