HP Ink Tank 415 WIreless Black Ink come off

Hi, I bought the Wireless 415 printer last week, and start printing photos using gloss photo paper.
Only today i realized that the black part of the print is rubbing off if i touch or rub them. Only the black part.
Does that mean the printer is using black ink for black area in the photo?
I am using generic 230gsm glossy paper. May i know how to prevent the black ink from taken off?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I understand that the black region in the photos printed is being smeared. I'd be happy to assist you.

Have you tried printing on an HP photo paper and check if the issue persists?

HP photo papers are optimized for use with inkjet printers and provide quality prints for craft projects or framing.

To know about different types of HP photo papers, refer to page 24 of the user guide.

To improve the print quality, check the tips and pointers on page 97 of the user guide.

Hi Kumar0307,

I have order some HP photo paper to test on the printer, they are on the way to my door step but i am not sure when it will arrive since it is Movement Control Order in Malaysia.

I have order Advanced HP Glossy Photo Paper, and some Everyday Semi-Gloss photo paper.

May i know what paper type should i choose from Printer setting when i am using HP Everyday Semi Gloss Paper?

You may change the paper type settings on the application you are trying to print with.

Choose the HP Photo paper option.
