The HP InstaInk Page count doubles the number of pages on some single sided printing. I've noticed the page count doesn't accurately reflect the actual number of pages printed. This then is changing the total count and ends up overcharging the customer for the HP InstaInk subscription service.
The HP OJ Pro 9010 page count is updated periodically, not real time. On a Monday I printed 9 copies of a single page, later I printed a single page (total of 10 pages). Early Tuesday I printed a single sided 16 page report (cumulative total of 26 pages). The next HP Smart Print history entry showed 42 pages. The 9 pages, plus one, then double counted the 16 equaling 32, for a total of 42. The actual number of pages printed was 26. Somehow the 16 page print job thought it was double sided - which it was not.
As an HP Shareholder, how do I ensure this gets corrected so there is not a Class Action Law Suit that erodes the stock value for systematically overcharging for an automated subscription service now that you have knowledge of this issue?
Please respond or forward this question appropriately. Sept. 18, 2019 . Thanks, TheJobDr
