HP LaserJet Pro CP1525nw Color Printer

I’m seeing repeated paper jams in tray 2. The printer works perfectly in all respects except for this. The first page of the job will print. Thereafter the printer stops and displays the message “Jam in tray 2. Clear jam and then press OK.”

Opening the paper tray reveals a page started to be pulled from the tray and then stopped. No damage to the page, in fact it can be replaced in the tray.

After removing the page and opening/closing the rear door as well, pressing OK causes the print job to resume. At times the job will complete printing. Other times it will jam again after a few pages.

In an attempt to resolve the issue, I removed the and cleaned the pick up and separation rollers. Problem persists. Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot?

If there are no other obstructions, I would lean towards rollers worn beyond service limit.

If the pickup roller looks anything like the roller on the left, replace it. A good roller is pictured on the right.
