Hi!
I've a HP LaserJet 2605dn which I have used very often in the past but in the recent view years only 2-3 per year for a document or so. Anyway, already since Windows 8.1 I noticed that the behaviour of the printing process changed. When I print a duplex site it takes up to 3min or more until the printer starts to print. If I print more sites the printer also pauses sometimes between sites for a minute before he proceeds. I've tried PostScript as well as PCL dirvers but the behaviour is the same.
Any ideas?

One issue is that older printers do not always have enough memory and resources to print well with newer programs as print jobs have become more complex. If you simply create a text document in Notepad does it print ok? If it does, then likely there is not a problem with the printer or driver but rather just the reality of a 16 year old printer. If you have never upgraded the memory it probably only has 64 MB which is very small for today's print jobs. You could look at expanding the memory but I am not sure you will gain as much performance as you would like.
