I have an HP LaserJet M234sdwe Printer.  When I make a copy from the printer, the Reduced/Enlarge setting is defaulted automatically to 361%.  I would like to reduce it to the factory setting default back to 100%.  How do I do that?

Hi @RaulRufino,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To reset the Reduced/Enlarge setting on your HP LaserJet M234sdwe Printer back to the factory default of 100%, you can follow these steps.

Access the Copy Settings Menu:

  • Lift the scanner lid of your printer to access the scanner glass.
  • Place a document face-down on the scanner glass.

Navigate the Control Panel:

  • On the printer's control panel, locate the "Copy" button. Press it to enter the Copy mode.

Adjust the Settings:

  • Once in Copy mode, look for options related to resizing or scaling. This is where you'll adjust the Reduced/Enlarge setting.
  • Use the arrow keys or a touch screen (if applicable) to navigate through the settings menus.

Reset to 100% (Factory Default):

  • Find the option that allows you to set the zoom or resize percentage.
  • Set the percentage to 100%. This should be the default setting.

Save the Changes:

  • After setting the percentage to 100%, look for a button or option that allows you to confirm or save the setting. This might be labeled "OK", "Save", or something similar.

Exit the Menu:

  • Once you've saved the setting, exit the menu or press the appropriate button to return to the main Copy screen.

Test the Setting:

  • Place a test document on the scanner glass and initiate a copy to verify that the Reduced/Enlarge setting is now at 100%.

If your printer has a touch screen, adjusting the settings might involve tapping directly on the screen to select options and enter values. If there are physical buttons, use them in conjunction with the display prompts to navigate through the menu options.

By following these steps, you should be able to reset the Reduced/Enlarge setting on your HP LaserJet M234sdwe Printer back to the factory default of 100%.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
