HP 4555 LaserJet printer 49.38.07 device error, I tried restarting and also installing a new firmware but it didn't work

Most 49 errors are caused by a firmware issue. In rare cases a faulty formatter can throw this error as well as can a corrupt print job. To narrow this down, unplug printer and any USB or network connections from the printer. Then attach the power and turn the device on. If it comes to ready and you can print reports from the control panel of the printer, then likely the printer is ok. Next plug in the network cable and wait about  minutes. If the error comes back, then you definitely have a bad print job stuck in the queue of one of your computers and need to clear that out. What revision of firmware did you install?
