I've had the printer for a while now and it has never had this problem. It showed up the first time a few days ago when I turned it on. The printer can't get past the init screen and I can't hear the mechanical noises it used to produce at startup. I've read lots of other messages on this forum and you answered them by providing a factory reset procedure sent by private message.
I already tried the following and had no luck at all.
1. Disconnect USB/Network/FAX and power on the Standalone unit.
2. Check and remove any packaging material inside the printer and toner cartridge.
3. Try different power source.
4. Perform a power cycle by unplugging the power cord while the power is on and plug it back.
5. Perform a power drain by disconnecting the power cord from the back of the printer and keeping the power button pressed for 30 seconds and if there is a power switch, keep the switch in ON position for 30 seconds before reconnecting the power cord.
6. Turn Off the printer for 3 min and then try turning on the unit.

Hi @mgonzavega,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I'd like to help!
I understand the printer is stuck on the initialization screen
We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
