When I print with the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M428dw, the printer will print...but when it goes to output the paper, it gets suck in the output bin. I just changed the toner cartridge, so I'm hoping there's nothing broken!

Hi @klocke77,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If paper is getting stuck in the output bin of your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M428dw after changing the toner cartridge, there are a few potential reasons and solutions you can try.
- Check for paper jams: Open the printer's output tray and check for any small pieces of paper or debris that may be causing the jam. Remove any obstructions carefully.
- Inspect the output tray: Ensure that the output tray is properly installed and aligned. Sometimes, if it's not seated correctly, it can cause paper to get stuck.
- Adjust paper settings: Make sure that the paper size and type settings in the printer's control panel or printing preferences on your computer match the paper loaded in the tray. Using incorrect settings can cause paper jams.
- Clean the rollers: Over time, paper dust and debris can accumulate on the printer's rollers, causing them to grip the paper too tightly or not feed it properly. Clean the rollers using a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or isopropyl alcohol.
- Check for damaged parts: Inspect the output tray and any other relevant parts for signs of damage or wear. If you notice any broken or worn components, they may need to be replaced to resolve the issue.
- Update firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates include bug fixes and improvements that can resolve issues like paper jams.
By systematically troubleshooting these potential causes, you should be able to resolve the issue and get your printer back to working smoothly.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
