Hi, we have a problem with some new HP LaserJet 700 M712 printers.
I installed new HP LaserJet 700 M712 in my print server, and try to print from Word, Excel, by default here is duplex printing option. If I in Print Management Console open printing preferences, here is an option - duplex printing - yes. I change it to No by default, close all windows, open it again - here is "duplex printing yes" again.
We have another HP LaserJet 700 M712 printers, which we get 5 years ago (if I remember), and there is no problem with these old printers.
What can I change in new printers? We use Windows 2016 print server, and both new and old printers uses one type of drivers..
Thank you for response.

First, make sure that print options on the printer hardware are not hard set to duplex. This is done through the embedded web server.
Secondly, on the driver, do not select print preferences, you need to go to the advanced tab of the driver properties and change the printing defaults. There is a difference between printer preferences (applies only to current user logged in) and printer defaults (applies to all users)
