So I have a networked HP Laserjet P2035 set up to share between two classrooms. Every time they send a print job, they have to press the button above the X (Paper feed? Demo page?) to get the printer to do anything, and it will print a demo page and THEN their print job. They have to do this every time. I have tried multiple things in the printer's settings, uninstalled and re-installed the printer, done a power drain... nothing seems to work, and they are wasting paper, toner, and time having to do this for every print job. Anyone got any ideas?

Hi @PCSITDR,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating to deal with that issue! Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem with the HP LaserJet P2035.
Check Printer Settings:
- Ensure that the printer is set as the default printer on all connected computers.
- In the printer properties, check if "Print Demo Page" or any similar option is enabled. If it is, disable it.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Make sure that the printer drivers on all connected computers are up to date. Visit the HP website to download the latest drivers for the P2035.
Check Network Settings:
- Ensure that the printer's network settings are properly configured. Sometimes, static IP settings can help stabilize network connections.
- If the printer is connected via a print server, check the server settings as well.
Reset the Printer:
- Perform a hard reset on the printer. Turn it off, unplug it, wait for a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Adjust Print Settings:
- On each computer, go to the printer properties and check the "Advanced" settings. Ensure options like "Keep Printed Documents" or "Start printing after last page is spooled" are unchecked.
Check Print Queue:
- Ensure there are no stuck jobs in the print queue. Clear any documents that may be causing issues.
Reinstall the Printer:
- If the issue persists, completely uninstall the printer on all computers, restart them, and then reinstall the printer. Make sure to use the correct drivers.
Network Troubleshooting:
- If possible, try connecting the printer directly to one computer to see if the issue still occurs. This can help identify if the problem is related to network settings.
Firmware Update:
- Check if there’s a firmware update available for the printer. Sometimes, issues like this can be resolved with an update.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
