Tried resetting printer to defaults. Tried new toner. Tried analyzing selenoid however using a flathead screwdriver I've concluded it is not sticking. Not sure where to go from here. I am hoping I can get this great printer printing color again. If not, it's a fine monochrome machine. Thanks for any possible help.

The model number you have listed M401 is a monochrome only printer, it has no ability to print in color.

Sorry. I updated my title. It is for sure a color LaserJet.

To clarify, if you print the demo page from the control panel, that is monochrome? What is the status of your supplies? When one color cartridge is empty many laser printers will keep printing but revert to monochrome only.
