HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4301fdw Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We had a 4301fdw at an office in Nov. 2023 and it kept giving error F0.01.01.02. We RMA'ed it and installed a new one. The new one didn't give any errors but would constantly jam the paper. HP tech came on site, replaced the fuser and all good.

Now we installed another 4301fdw at an office and same error, F0.01.01.02. Latest firmware installed with latest drivers from HP's site. Tried with WDS port as well as adding a manual port. We RMA'ed it and installed a new one but this time didn't update the firmware. So far seems to be working ok but it's very frustrating.

What is the issue with these printers? Is it driver, firmware or hardware?

There have been some issues with units corrupting. Typically performing a factory reset through the embedded web server will resolve the issues. The fuser jam issues are typically caused by a paper guide being dislodged during shipping. Normally replacing the fuser is not required.

See the attached PDF regarding the F0 errors.
