Hey Folks, I have a 479 that is printing solid black pages no matter what you send to it (demo page, scans from the ADF, test prints from a PC). It has a brand new OEM fuser and all the toner is fresh out the box HP brand toner; the transfer roller has also been replaced. I looked at all the connectors and nothing is unplugged, and no sensors anywhere seem to be bent or broken.
Looking around on google leeds me to think the "high voltage power supply board" may be failing. is there anything else I can do to troubleshoot this issue?

If you have disassembled the whole printer I would suggest that you check the drum contacts to make sure that the black one is still seated properly as I have seen cases of them being knocked out of place. Open the cartridge door, remove the toners so it is easier to see and make sure that the circled contact labelled Black drum contact is in place. It should look the same as the other 3 that are for the color toners. If it is out of place you will need to remove the left panel to access the contact and reseat it.
