I see that the printer is in error state and you are unable to use the printer. To start with no light on the printer, try a hard reset. Here is how you do it-

  1. Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  5. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  6. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  7. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  8. Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  9. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

For the carriage jam issues, refer to the document  'Carriage Jam' or 'E3' Error Displays for troubleshooting steps.

 

If the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

I have the same printer and it appears to have died.  When plugged in I hear a faint buzz/humming noise.  I have tried removing power source and unplugging but no dice

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I understand the printer is not powering ON. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

 

Perform the steps mentioned in this document. If the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer. 

 

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
