HP Office Jet 3830

We have a Hp OfficeJet 3830, when it goes into sleep mode, the only way to print to it again is to power cycle the device, if users send prints to the device it doesn't wake from sleep mode and the prints stay queued on their PC

We've tried updating drivers, resetting the device to defaults but same issue, device won't come out of sleep mode wihtout a power off / on.

Once you turn it office it will print all the documents you want until it goes into sleep mode again then is shuts down.

Please note Im not a techie and want a simple user explanation of how to address this problem.

Hi @Daudey55,

I'd like to help!

To better assist you -

  1. What device are you using the printer with, a Windows computer, Mac, Android or an iPhone?
  2. How is the printer connected to your device Wifi or USB?
  3. Is your printer connected to home or public network?

Kep me posted for further assistance.
