I have a new MAC with a MAC iOS Sequoia operating system and recently downloaded the HP Smart onto it.  I have been having a difficult time printing 5X7 envelopes.  I've tried custom settings on the Word document and modifying on the HP 8135e and have had no success.  Can someone simplify the process for me.  The AI chat was not helpful.

Hi @Yuremimomma

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Printing 5x7 envelopes on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8135e with macOS Sequoia should be straightforward.

Here’s a simplified step-by-step guide:

Load the Envelope Properly – Place the envelope in the printer’s input tray according to the printer’s guidelines. Usually, envelopes should be loaded with the flap side up and the print side facing down.

Set Up the Print Settings in HP Smart or Word:

  • Open your document in Word.
  • Go to File > Print.
  • Select your HP OfficeJet Pro 8135e as the printer.
  • Click Page Setup and choose Envelope as the paper type.
  • Set the size to 5x7 inches.
  • Ensure the orientation matches how the envelope is loaded.

Adjust Printer Settings:

  • Open HP Smart.
  • Navigate to Printer Preferences.
  • Select Paper Type and choose Envelope.
  • Confirm the size is 5x7 inches.

Print a Test Envelope – Before printing multiple envelopes, try one to ensure alignment and print quality.
