Hi @DerrickZ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Error code 0xb3000166 on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8210 typically indicates an issue related to the printhead or the ink system. Here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve this error.

  • Turn Off and Unplug the Printer: Turn off the printer using the power button and unplug it from the power source. Leave it unplugged for at least 60 seconds.
  • Check the Printhead: Open the printer's access door to view the printhead. Make sure the printhead is properly seated. Remove and reinstall it if necessary.
  • Clean the Printhead Contacts: Gently clean the contacts on the printhead and inside the printer with a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water. Let them dry completely before reinstalling.
  • Check Ink Cartridges: Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and not damaged. Replace any cartridges that are low or empty.
  • Inspect the Ink Cartridge Area: Look for any paper jams or obstructions in the printer’s paper path. Clear any debris you find.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve error codes. Check HP’s website for the latest firmware for your printer model and install it if available.
  • Perform a Hard Reset: After reconnecting the printer, perform a hard reset by turning the printer back on and following any on-screen prompts or instructions.
  • Run Printer Diagnostics: If your printer has a built-in diagnostic tool, run it to check for any issues and follow the recommended solutions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
