I am having the same problem.  The small screen has the logo and nothing else.  The 'on/off' button is flashing white.  I have unplugged and replugged in several times.  HELP!

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Hold the power button down for 10-15 seconds and release it. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

 

Check if there is any paper jam inside the printer and if the print carriage is moving freely.

Refer to the steps mentioned in this document.

I've also gone through the reset steps and experiencing same issue with HP Deskjet 3830 model.
