Hello,
today I bought a new printer:HP OfficeJet 5230 fronte a local store. When I plug in the Power cable and pulled the ON button, the printer does not work. In the display i Can see a progress bar. After the progress bar has finished, the printer's display shows the following error code:
"ERROR CODE
0XC4EB8004
HWLMICCI2_V12"
All the icons on the display are blinking while this error code is shown. Power button LED Is blinking too. What should I do?
Thanks

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂 I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers. For you to have the best experience on the HP forum, you could also visit our HP Forums Guide for First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More. I see from your post that you're getting an error code 0XC4EB8004 HWLMICCI2_V12 on your HP OfficeJet Printer. No worries, I'll be glad to assist you.
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
Are you using genuine HP Ink cartridge?
Does the error remain when the same when you remove the cartridge?
Did you try to replace the cartridge?
Have you checked for any obstructions inside the printer?
Are you able to move the carriage freely?
Have you tried to update the printer firmware?
In some cases, removing the ink cartridges and resetting the printer can clear the error message.
Turn on the printer.
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
Disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the printer. If your printer has a network or wireless connection, leave it connected.
Remove the ink cartridges from the printer.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and from the wall outlet or power strip.
Wait at least 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE:
HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to a wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Reinsert the ink cartridges, and then close the ink cartridge access door.
If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
If you disconnected the USB cable, reconnect it to the rear of the printer.
Try to print.

This is the WORST printer I have ever owned the print quality is great when there are no errors on the diaplay. I just replaced the ink with brand new HP 302 ink the printer says please use original hp ink, then the error noted above comes up, I have tried everything looked for new firmware, reinstalled driver, went so far as reinstall OS, Now the display goes blank and it just flashes I have to pull plug to get it to work again. I have always used HP printers for the quality but the next printer I purchase will be from another manufacturer. It is to late for warrenty work will fight with this thing untill it breaks down.
