Product: hp officejet 6100 SN CN435751VF05KR
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We have to use certain printer for our Hunter alignment machine at our automotive repair shop. The printer we had for a long time bit the dust, it was a hp officejet 6100. We looked for a new one online and found a "new" one on ebay. When it showed up it looked new but did not have any ink setup cartridges with it, we do not have ones from the old printer we had. I have bought new ink cartridges but keep getting an error message when trying to put them in that I have to install "setup cartridges". What are my options, could not find them for sale on HP website.

If you do not have setup cartridges.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
