Hi @GT116,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It looks like you're encountering an error code (UU_400_EB000A9900) on your HP OfficeJet 8010e printer during the setup process. Since you've already tried a hard reset, deleting and reinstalling the printer, and resetting the Wi-Fi, here are a few more steps to troubleshoot the issue.

Check Printer Firmware:

  • Make sure your printer firmware is up to date. Sometimes, an outdated firmware can cause issues during setup. To update the firmware, you can either use the HP Smart App or go to the HP support website to download and install the latest firmware.

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer and laptop are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Sometimes, setup issues arise when devices are on different networks (e.g., 2.4GHz vs. 5GHz networks).
  • If your Wi-Fi network is hidden or uses certain security protocols (like WPA3), try temporarily switching to a simpler network setup to see if it helps.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor from the official HP website. This tool can help diagnose and resolve connection and setup issues with your printer.

Manually Connect to Printer's Wi-Fi:

  • Sometimes connecting directly to the printer's Wi-Fi can help in troubleshooting:
    1. On the printer’s control panel, go to Wi-Fi settings.
    2. Select Wireless Setup Wizard.
    3. Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the Wi-Fi password manually.

Reinstall HP Smart App:

  • If the app is showing an error, uninstall it and reinstall the HP Smart App from the Microsoft Store (for Windows) or App Store (for iOS/Android).
  • After reinstalling, try running the setup again.

Perform a Factory Reset:

  • If none of the above steps help, try performing a factory reset on the printer:
    1. On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless and Cancel buttons simultaneously.
    2. Hold them down for about 10 seconds until the reset process begins.
  • After the reset, attempt the setup process again from scratch.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
