I noticed that my printer did an update just a couple of days ago and now, because I have generic ink cartridges, it won't accept them and print. Now I am stuck with cartridges that are not that old that worked fine. I am hoping that it can be bypassed, at least until new cartridges are needed an we by HP ones. Even better, they should send us replacements for free!!

Hello @PopsPc and @Blitzkreig74

Just a heads-up, HP doesn’t recommend using generic cartridges as they can potentially damage the printhead over time. To resolve the setup cartridge error, we suggest using regular HP ink cartridges. You can find detailed instructions on how to resolve this issue in the document linked here: Resolving Setup Cartridge Error.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

Take care and have an amazing day!
