HP OfficeJet Pro 9019/Premier All-in-One Printer

My 9010 printer started with a problem downloading an update. I reset my printer to factory preset, but that did not fix the update problem, and the printer kept restarting as if it was an initial set-up even though I had completed the set-up process after the factory reset.  I downloaded hp trouble shooter, but the printer will not connect to wifi, so there is no way to use that process to help.  The printer is now disconnected from wifi and stuck on Print the alignment page.  I have shut it off, unplugged it, removed and reinstalled, ink and other efforts but it still gets stuck in the "Printing Alignment Page" stage.

Hi @NFelker,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet 9010 printer is stuck on the "Printing Alignment Page" step, there are a few steps you can take to try to resolve the issue.

  • Cancel the Print Job: If the alignment page is still printing, try canceling the print job. You can usually do this by pressing the "Cancel" or "X" button on your printer's control panel.
  • Check for Paper Jams: Make sure there are no paper jams in the printer. Even a small piece of torn paper can cause a printing error. Open all access doors and remove any paper that may be stuck.
  • Check for Ink or Toner Levels: Low or empty ink or toner cartridges can also cause alignment page issues. Check the ink or toner levels and replace any cartridges that are low or empty.
  • Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a minute or two, and then plug it back in and turn it on. This can often resolve minor printing issues.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model on the HP website. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve software-related issues.
  • Align the Printer Manually: If the automatic alignment process is failing, you can try aligning the printer manually. To do this, go to the printer's settings on your computer and look for an option to manually align the print heads or cartridges. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the manual alignment.
  • Reset the Printer: As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on your printer. Be aware that this will reset all printer settings to their default values, so you may need to reconfigure the printer after the reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
