I've just experienced my first paper jam in my HP OJ 9015.  Luckily, I managed to get the jammed page out of the printer without having to open the cover because the cover will not open.  I can open the front cover downward but I have tugged and tugged (gently as not to break anything) but the left side of the top cover just will not give without (I'm afraid) breaking something.  I never knew this cover was supposed to open because I've been changing my ink cartridges by opening the front cover only.  (Thought that was kind of awkward!)  I want to get this resolved in case I need to open this cover the next time I have a jam.  Can anyone give me a hint as to what I need to do?

The top cover should open easily upwards with a single hand.

Any chance you opened scanner cover prior to opening top cover? The scanner cover probably should be in the down position when opening the top cover.

You have a video demonstrating how to access printhead, it is clearly visible how easy should top cover be opened.

I was trying to open it the correct way and it wasn't even budging.  I turned off the printer and it opened very easily but, of course, the printhead didn't move to the center.  Turned the printer back on and everything works perfectly.  I have no idea why that would make any difference but it did!  Thanks for the reply.
