Welcome to the HP Support Community!
- Have you tried making a standalone Black and color copy and check if that works?
- Check the estimated ink levels of all the ink cartridges on the printer screen.
Power resetting the printer, updating the printer firmware and cleaning the printhead may resolve this issue. Let us try these steps:
Step 1: Reset the printer
1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Step 2: Update the printer firmware
Click here to download and install the latest firmware from your computer.
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
Step 3: Clean the printhead
-
From the printer control panel, open the Setup
menu.
-
Open the Printer Maintenance menu.
-
If necessary, open the Tools menu, and then touch Clean Printhead.
A test page prints.
-
If the print quality is unacceptable, touch Clean Again to continue the next level of cleaning. If necessary, repeat these steps for the third cleaning cycle.
Step 4: Perform step 9 and 10 from this document.
Let me know how this goes.
