HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 All in One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Printer not working for about a year. Updated all software and printer worked. To do this had to move Printer close to PC and use Ethernet cable. Then got Wireless to work. Replace all cartridges with old HP Instant Ink cartridges...magenta was low though.

New Cartridges being shipped from HP Instant Ink. Decided to move printer back to other room. Did not power off before I unplugged power source and Cartridge Carrier probably confused. Followed instructions from HP Virtual assistant, but cannot get Cartridge Carrier to move manually

@bj99, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand you are not able to use the printer as the printer carriage is stuck.

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - Carriage jam or E3 error

Make sure there are no jams inside, refer to - A 'Paper Jam' Error Displays

If the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer if under warranty.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
