The display screen on the printer shows a blue screen with the power icon and the code "B8532646". The printer stops working and the scanner also does not work

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the "B8532646" error. 

 

Let's try these steps to reset the printer - 

 

1) Take out the cartridges. 
2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall. 
3) Wait for 30 seconds.  
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector. 
5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

 

Also, try updating the printer's firmware. Download and install the firmware for Win 10 (64-bit) from this link.

Hi asmita

Thanks for the assistance, I have tried the items that you listed and the printer seems to be working properly. Will try it for a while to see if it continues to work. Tried to do a firmware update but the printer had a update failure, have not retried as yet will do in the next week or so when I can get the time.

The printer has now worked perfectly for the week so I looks like the problem has be solved.
